Shannah Mitchell has anchored her artistic vision in non-traditional landscape painting. Juxtaposition and light play a crucial role in her loose impressionistic style, capturing nuances in colour & texture on display in man-made and natural settings, preferably one alongside the other.

After completing her Visual Arts Bachelors’ in 1999, the commitment to her craft never wavered – shown by continuing to diligently observe and translate even the subtlest changes in her environment onto her canvas whilst juggling the responsibilities of raising a family.

In recent years, Shannah's artistry has taken a remarkable upswing marked by her participation in numerous group exhibitions and being selected as a finalist for several local and national competitions.

Since 2019 she has transitioned her talent into a professional career. Currently represented by reputed galleries Yallingup in Margeret River and Juniper in the Perth Hills.

Shannah operates from her studio in Fremantle, Western Australia.
